Welcome to First Presbyterian Church!
We are a downtown congregation in the heart of Rockford, Illinois.
Our mission is to love God and Neighbor.
We try to fulfill this mission through:
Worship, study and prayer;
Mission and ministry partnership with three downtown churches;
Involvement with Jeremiah Development, NFP;
Parish Nurse/Parish Health Ministry;
Our Fair Trade Shop;
and the love and graciousness that Christ has given us.
On behalf of our congregation, I invite you:
to be our Guest for Worship at 9:30 AM on Sunday;
to take part in our twice-a-year (Fall and Winter)
Enrichment Series on Wednesday evenings.
6 PM Dinner: $7/person over twelve years.
7 PM Adults and Children’s learning opportunities.
Check with us for start-up and closing dates.
We are a city church seeking to be a just and gracious presence for Christ.
